A question regarding an old table

Greetings everyone.

So, as the title says, today I ran into a problem with an old table for XCOM: EW.

I know, everyone moved on to XCOM 2, but I really don't like that one; has a different feel to it. So, today I wanted to do something a tad more different, use the table and scramble with rookies' stats. To my chagrin, everything stays in ?? even though I made sure to follow the instructions (I keep a notepad with those).

Does anyone know if Steam patched the game and thus that's why the table doesn't work? I know it worked because a couple years ago I used it to heart's content while waiting for XCOM; but I don't know if there is an issue with using windows 10 instead of windows 7 when running CE tables.

If anyone is willing to just provide a clarification, I would appreciate it. I can even share the table I have, I just need to know I can post it here and not in another forum. Have a nice one, folks.
