Looks like the .pak files are encrypted. Without a key, no extraction's gonna happen.
Gibbed "Rick" found the key a few days ago.

AES key: 115EE4F8C625C792F37A503308048E79726E512F0BF8D2AD7C4C87BC5947CBA7

Coolio; nah, it is allowed. All I wanna do is get my hands on their DefaultInput.ini and then see if I can bind commands to keys ;)

EDIT: Doesn't seem to be working with quickbms:

Ah I see! Good luck and thanks for all the information. I have been trying to figure out how the security on the gamesaves work.
They used to use LZO to compress the data and a SHA1 hash, looks custom now though.
I haven't had any luck looking around in IDA :(

It keeps asking for a password to extract/run the downloaded file. What's the password, or am I doing something wrong?
You did not read his post.

^ Yes, same method. Try it out for yourselves :P
I can use opendebugmenu but can't seem to get weapons to spawn through the gear builder.

Any tips on which function(s) I have to enable to get this working?

Many of the Debug menu options don't work, which Sunbeam warned us about. Just sit tight and see if he updates it later; but for now, we got what we got, which is awesome enough already.

Would it be possible to replace ghost with HLQNoClip?

That is because 'BuildGear' doesn't work; it doesn't exist in the actual compiled code (or it was not generated at all). See the god damn console for the error output. Can't rebuild it from thin air.

If you can find "Function ... HLQNoClip" in the ObjectsDump.txt file, then it might be possible. But, see.. it's not there:

How about you people start searching for stuff before asking? Thanks!

Seems to have worked; reading the post's comments helped out as I needed an "0x" in front of "115EE4F8C625C792F37A503308048E79726E512F0BF8D2AD7C4C87BC5947CBA7" ;) I initially pasted that in without the '0x'.

BaseInput.ini:

Code: Select all

+DebugExecBindings=(Key=F11,Command="MainFrame.ToggleFullscreen",Shift=True)
