1. Open the game's "profile.sav" save file with NotePad++ (located in: "AppData\Local\Remnant\Saved\SaveGames") 2. Search for whatever customisation parameter you want to change -- examples: "voice 1", "haircolortype 1", "eyecolourtype 1" 3. Change the numerical value next to that customisation parameter -- example: "voice 1" to "voice 2" (*the numbers correspond to the order of the customisation options, either by number, or left-to-right) 4. Back up the save file and then save the changes with NotePad++ 5. Use the "Checksum Fixer" tool linked to above to "fix" the save file (so that it loads after editing and is not read as corrupted). NB: Do not replace any value with something beyond its original byte size -- i.e., do not put a two-digit figure, like "10", where a single digit figure, like "9, was -- the checksum fixer tool apparently will not "fix" it if you do... And it's pointless to do anyway.
I tested myself and can confirm the method works (I used it for the very same reason you cited -- char. voice).
Hi, I'm having trouble doing this to change my voice. Once I get to your fifth step, there is some sort of error that says files weren't sorted properly and may be corrupted.
I used this method since the last post, and it worked. If you still have the issue, ensure you changed the CORRECT number... 'Cause, if memory serves (I haven't played the game in a couple of months), the post-"Survival mode" update changed the profile file a little bit -- example: more "voice" options were added, or something like that. (*If I boot the game up again, I'll test it method again and report back... The game just not installed ATM)
