Updated Report: Base Camp Bulletin Board Notification Bug

Hi DrummerIX,

Thank you again for maintaining such an excellent Cheat Engine table. I’d like to report some additional findings regarding the bulletin board notification issue at the Base Camp.

I’ve completed all quests on the Base Camp bulletin board and received every reward. However, the “new task” notification icon stays visible and never disappears, even though there are no quests left to accept or complete.

In the past, I used the Bulletin Board Multiplier you included in earlier versions of the table to raise the Base Camp’s level.

In version 8.0, I used the newly added Bulletin Board Pointers to try lowering the board’s level and EXP.
Here’s what I found during testing yesterday:
• I was able to lower the Base Camp Level and EXP via the table.
• The Activity Log reflected the reduced level correctly.
• However, the UI still displayed Level 10, and the notification remained.
• After restarting the game, the lowered values reverted back to Level 10 — suggesting the actual level data may be stored elsewhere or overwritten at launch.

Through this testing, I also realized why the bug happens:
If you reach Level 10 on the Base Camp board while some tasks are still uncompleted, and then finish those tasks later, the notification becomes permanently stuck.
This likely happens because the system flags the board as “complete” before all rewards have been fully claimed.

Also, I’ve seen that many other players are facing the same issue, so I believe a lot of people would benefit from a fix or workaround.

At this point, I’m honestly mentally drained from seeing the blinking icon every time I visit the island.
It might sound minor, but this persistent notification is genuinely impacting my motivation and enjoyment of the game.

If resolving the core issue is not possible, I’d really appreciate if you could consider implementing one of the following features as a workaround:
• A way to manually clear or disable the Base Camp notification icon
• A reset option to return the board to an earlier state
• Or perhaps even a feature to force all outstanding tasks to be marked as claimed

If you’re able to find a solution to this issue,
I would love to support you as thanks — even if just a small gesture, I truly want to show my appreciation.

Thank you so much again for your time and dedication. Your work continues to make this game better for so many of us.
I apologize my attempted fix didn't work for you. At this point, I am not sure I can fix the issue. Unfortunately, you will have to restart your game and not use Bulletin Board Multiplier (I removed it from the table).

How to use this cheat table?
  1. Install Cheat Engine
  2. Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
  3. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
  4. Keep the list.
  5. Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

Hi there! Is there a way to set the Skl value for each life? Or does anyone know how to do adjust them manually with CE? I have an over abundance of Skl now by accidently ramping the multiplier to high. Is this a way to make it a more reasonable number like 50 instead of 3000? Thanks!

Is this something that is possible to do?

It's probably possible, but I've been hacking and playing this game for over a week. I am not sure what else I can add to the table.

If you are not max level, the skill value is somewhat easy to find. Search 4 byte Unknown value at first and then gain some levels and then search for Increased Value by and then the difference between what it was and what it is after you level.

Would it be possible for the traveling merchant in the game to directly sell all the recipes he can offer, instead of only random ones? That way, we wouldn't have to keep searching for him. Also, could the drop rate of monsters be increased—for example, the chance of getting a mount saddle? Thank you.

I’ve tried that for some (I think…I’m pretty unskilled at live editing), it gives me about 3-4 different addresses. When I edit the values, the change doesn’t appear in game. I’m not quite sure what I’m doing wrong. I can look at it later tonight and send some screenshots and addresses if that might help?

I've been experimenting with a couple of things, so a few updates:

1. I managed to modify Cake's UE Helper table to work with FLi, so now we can get useful info from dissect structure and so on.
As such, I've switched to just calling Cake's script - it'll take longer to run, but it should be more robust.
It's possible that that'll fix some of the issues people were having.

If you open Debug / Backup -> Cake-san's UE Helper table, v7.3 hotfixed -> Unreal Engine -> 4 LocalPlayer you'll see your character's Jump height and movespeed values. Eventually I plan on filling some of these out, those are the ones that come default with the script.
I've found a Data Manager location that contains pointers to most things that get saved. Things like inventory, money, quest/life/etc status. I've filled in a few including autopopulating inventory tab (which includes non-displayed items, in case you messed up an item edit.)

2. I took a look at turning some of this into a "mod". It's still very WIP but I've made some progress. Feel free to try it out.
To use it, you'll want to use [Link]. You'll want to download the experimental-latest release and follow the [Link]
Note that if you install it in the game directory, any update that re-enables EAC might cause problems, since it would automatically inject a dll. Instead, you can follow the Central Install Location via Manual Injection bit of the guide and something like [Link] to launch (place the script in the same location as the UE4SS.dll file - it should look like this: Image )
(with Mods\DataManager\dlls\main.dll)
An alternative to that launch script is Cheat Engine -> Memory Viewer -> Tools -> Inject DLL and choose the UE4SS.dll

To use the mod:
Enable the UE4SS GuiConsole in UE4SS-settings.ini: Image
Then open the DataManager tab in the external GUI and click "Fetch DataManager" Image
You'll still need the item and skill ID lists linked in my original table post but I'm looking at iterating though the MapProperties files to fetch names automatically. Still WIP, but for those who were having problems getting FNames in my original script, this should work as an alternative

Originally I wanted to fill out some more stuff but I'm not going to have time to do any work on this for a short time, so I'm releasing it as-is for now.

When you say it may fix some issues people were having, are you referring to the issue with even though FNames was parsing, hovering over the item did not have the item name show up?

I dont know if you only want cheat engine, but the other F has a relationship trainer.

@Drummer, thanks so much, it worked just like you said!
trainers tend to not always work well for me so I generally prefer ce but may look into it if not possible with ce

In other words
if I revert Gamebootstrapper to the original version, will I be able to go online with the same save data?

so not sure why, but latest (8.0) is causing me to crash. does not seem to matter what I'm doing, just crashes after a while. tried with just the "activate trainer" option activated and did not even activate anything else and it still crashed after a while
