I'd recommend not changing level, and just changing XP then fighting a battle to level up

How to use this cheat table?

1. Install Cheat Engine
2. Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
3. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
4. Keep the list.
5. Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

You gotta make sure the space combat cheats are turned off. Once you're out of space combat the pointers are used for other things so you are forcing them into bad values.

Please man, tell us what you did, I'm getting the same error and I don't know what to do.
I'm playing the GOG version of the game. Nothing that I tried to do works
