It does, you just need a 64-bit OS.

Re: FRONT MISSION 1st: Remake PC
Money is 4byte, so should make the game easier.
Re: FRONT MISSION 1st: Remake PC
money, exp, hp...all of that is easy to find, what most of us old cheaters are hoping for is advanced stuff, like character edition, unlocking skills, skill upgrade probability, unlocking parts...advanced stuff that needs more than a simple cheat engine search

I Have Code from NTDS Code Can you use this code to port code for PC?AlexS wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 8:37 pm(Google translation)
Downloaded and launched the game. The game is easy to hack. Here is a simple express script that allows you to edit the HP of the selected robot from the player's team during the fight. The current values are highlighted in green, and the maximum values are highlighted in blue (you can simply set all the values to 9999).

Re: FRONT MISSION 1st: Remake PC
EDIT: I'm re-writing this because I realized I wrote this in a brain dead way and it was hard to follow. But I'm trying to illustrate how xp works & how you can go about modifying you character to get all the skills & job levels you want for your game play. A necessary tool is this guide which explains the system: https://git_jiangsheng_net/build/html/games/frontmission/index_html (replace the underscores with periods). This is basically a wiki, and provides an in depth explanation of the skills for the different jobs.
GETTING MONEY: Use a standard 4-bit search for your cash. You can buy & sell at the store in the first town. If you don't know how to do this, it's the very first tutorial that Cheat Engine shows you when you load it up for the first time. You can also Google this. This allows you to buy any amount of the gear that comes available. I do not know how to give yourself gear that isn't unlocked in the game yet. But if you have all the skills & combat jobs maximized, that really shouldn't matter. You will vaporize enemies regardless.
NOMENCLATURE: There are (4) jobs, which represent your ability in weapons & evasion. Three of these are ranges (melee, close, long), and the last is dodge. Melee & Close are both point-blank range, and a bit redundant, but the 2 jobs carry different skills. The job & skill relationship is below.
Melee: Stun (stuns for 3 rounds), First (strike first), Double (2 hits)
Short: Dual (aiming), Switch (2 attacks), Speed (more shots on multi-shot weapons)
Long: Guide (aiming)
Dodge: No skills
As you can see from the guide & this brief summary, you really want to have these skills. Every character can learn 2-5 skills, and some start with 1 or more skills. To my knowledge there is no way to get all the skills on 1 character. And even if you did that'd be a waste of time, because you want to have each character specialize in either close or melee, and then have long as a back-up. Dodge will level up as you get shot at.
EXPERIENCE: The game handles xp in what I feel is an unusual manner. You have a character level, but you also have 4 job levels, and they are linked. Your Job Level & Character Level are both auto-calculated by the game based on xp level. It's really important to understand how this works, because you need to be able to level up correctly in order to obtain skills.
From the Menu --> Setup --> Pilots
JOB LEVEL EXPERIENCE
------------------------------------------
Melee 9 10
Close Range 9 56
Long Range 9 44
Dodge 9 23
------------------------------------------
TOTAL 133
You'll notice that all jobs start at level 9. You will also see a blue bar at the bottom of this window. IGNORE THAT BAR. It's not an experience level bar. This bar is a lie (I think it's actually showing your weight-to-power ratio, but whatever).
From the Menu --> Team Status
This window will show you a YELLOW XP bar & your character level. It will not show you the xp from each of your jobs, or exactly how much total xp you have. It's annoying, but you have to flip back & fourth between these 2 windows to do what you need to do in order to modify your character.
LEVELING UP: I think the way this works is your character level is determined by your TOTAL XP. I didn't take the time to build a spreadsheet of the total required xp for the levels, and there is no need to do that. The numbers I'm going to use are for example only, and I'll explain below how this all ties together once I've explained each part.
MODDING XP: Before you start messing with XP for a character, create 4 search tabs by hitting Control+T, and right-click on the tabs to label them for each job. Trust me when I say you need these, because you will have to track all 4 values until you have them all identified. It will radically reduce your time investment. Once you do that, do your first 4-bit search for each of these values. If they are zero, then leave that search tab empty until you get a value.
In this example, total xp is 133. Let's say we want to level up close range. You can do this by simply going to the arena, and shooting a close range weapon until you kill a target. You will get xp for close range & possibly dodge. When you finish the arena fight, return to the pilot setup screen to see how these numbers updated. YOU CANNOT ASSUME THAT BECAUSE YOU GOT 8 XP IN THE ARENA ALL 8 XP GO TO SHORT RANGE. Some of this XP may also go to dodge if you were avoiding hits. After 2-4 battles, you will have identified your close range skill address, and possibly some others. As you identify these addresses, save & label them in the lower window of Cheat Engine, as you will need to refer back to these alot until you're done.
Level 10 of a job happens at about 300xp or so. So you can change the XP to 300, and the game will automatically level up your close range skill to level 10. However, you will also see that your CHARACTER LEVEL is has moved up to 3, and you didn't get a level up window. Normally when you hit a character xp threshold you get a level up window, and you get bonus xp for all your skills. This is an important mechanic, but we can exploit the way that the game calculates xp to speed up leveling & get all the combat skills we want, in the order we want them, as soon as we get a character & can fight with them in the arena.
Referring to the FAQ I linked at the top, the main character Royd can learn close range skills at 2000, 5000, and 7000 xp thresholds on the close range skill. Note that each character has different thresholds & different capacities to learn - which is why you need that chart.
So we set Royd's short range xp to 2000, and we see that this raises his character level to level 8 or something. But we can't learn the skill until we level up, so we have to go back to the team status window, find the screen for Royd, and look at his yellow experience bar to see how close he is to leveling. Then we have to raise short range xp until that bar is 99% full by guessing. If you over-guess and the bar over-fills to the next level, you can simply reduce the value & he will be "de-leveled." So for the sake of argument let's say the next xp threshold is 3,500. You want to set the xp to 3499. Then you run another arena fight & get some xp - AND THEN YOU GET THE LEVEL UP SCREEN!!!. You can then make your skill selection.
You then boost close range xp to 5,000, and then play with xp until he's 99% from leveling, do another fight, level up, and pick your 2nd skill. You repeat the process for the 3rd skill. Then you do the same thing with long range, where the xp threshold is at 1,500 xp. Then you can add in a melee skill if you feel like it. Now all 5 of your skill slots are full, but at level 1.
RAISING COMBAT SKILL LEVEL: Raising skill levels can only be done by fighting. However, the higher your job level, the more likely you'll level up. You can get most skills to 3 pretty quickly, but the 4th level has something like a 1/2000 probability. I'm told the only way to get that is repetitively fight in the arena. Maybe we'll get lucky & someone will find the address & allow to do this manually. Maybe not.
EFFECT OF JOB LEVEL ON GAME PLAY: Not surprising, the higher your skill with a weapon the harder each attack hits. Because of this, attacks with multiple hits benefit more from higher levels. Machine guns benefit the most, and are boosted even further by the skills Speed & Switch. When these skills trigger, you will vaporize your target. This is why close range is really the GOAT for this game. Melee is decent & can be used to stun targets, but you should only have a few melee characters & a majority be close range. Everyone should have some long range skill, and the "Guide" skill is super useful when delivering missile payloads.
HARD CAPS: You will find that level 50 is max character level, and max job level is 48. So you cannot level all 4 jobs to 48 during normal game play. If you saved the job addresses, however, you can set all your job xp to 9999, and you will be level 50 with 4 level 48 jobs. Note that once you hit level 50 you stop earning XP's. So once you get to that point you're done making changes unless you have the addresses saved and can alter your experience to de-level yourself.
