feature for the forum: pinned comments

I was wondering if it was possible to make a feature for the forum to pin one comment so it would appear on top of a topic, no matter if it's page 1 or page 258 of the thread.

That would allow us to keep on the top of each page of that topic a comment that contains the latest table and the google sheet page of all the values players have identified. It would massively reduce the amount of comments that ask where they are.

I'd say someone with a minimum level to avoid trolls, but not the highest because the people who are able to make table should be able to pin their tables pretty fast...

I'd add this as a feature similar to the reporting mechanism.
Instead of report as malicious, you ask to pin.
You CAN ask pinning it if there's a good reason, but moderator/admin approval would be needed - we don't want to many pinned messages.
It could be unpinned by requestor/moderator/admin without approval - comments might become obsolete or there might be better ones.

I would have assumed it would have been a lot of additional work for moderation (I have no idea how often sheets are updated and for how many games), so instead I was thinking of making a system where many people can, but there's a way to report any malicious use of that; I was hoping that would be less work. But you guys are better judges.

Another idea could be if someone has had enough upvotes on their comments, but maybe that would make people abuse the system too.

Even a simple 'pin this' request should be tied to user rank, title, or something.
Without control, it will be abuse.
That's the nature of things on the interwebz.
Look at all the sheet volume of shite that gets posted just about anywhere!

It has great potential for abuse and even the pinned comment could get outdated fast but it will also add a lot of burden on moderation team which already has their hands full.

I have been thinking of using/starting a much better platform actually but between my family life and job, I don't find much time anymore
