7.4 simply because it's more stable than 7.3 was.

What mind of instability did 7.3 have? I didn't notice anything.

7.4 has a lot of issues from the past sorted out. I myself have reported several to DB and he's fixed them. Furthermore, for those using Lua, CE 7.4 has several updates and functions more to simplify your game-hacking needs. So 7.4 all the way.
