I can also confirm that both duplicating and currency changes break the game.

It seems having ANY cheat on while purchasing a villager house causes a "Transaction Error". No known fix aside from restarting.

At this point I have to say, the native support of this particular trainer is for Game Pass version, not for steam. I'd recommend using a different trainer entirely for steam version.
As I am using a different trainer, and it works flawlessly, even with duping on steam.

Was the game updated? Did you activate the trainer in-game and wait a few seconds?

Just so you're all aware, this warning is for people with the steam version, can't speak for the other version. Using the duplicate option will result in anything being built by Scrooge McDuck to say "Transaction error" and you won't be able to progress further, even with a full restart of your game, resulting in you needing to remake your character if you wish to continue.

I discovered this and continued playing, assuming it would be fixed.
Sad times in the neighbourhood.

DrummerIX has started making a trainer and may have a better way of doing things so keep an eye out in the app for that.

It's wholly surrounding duplication it seems. Not sure WHY, guess the removal of items don't switch a certain flag unless each item was completely obtained. One thing I DID notice is if you duplicate in your inventory the quest won't show you've got enough, but if you drop the new stack and pick it up, it does.
Also, the Transaction Error seems to be a failsafe to stop cheating - this happens to vanilla players when they time skip ahead. They cant harvest stuff until it actually becomes past the time they skipped to, it must be synced to a server clock in that sense. Maybe the item generation has a method of tracking too so duplicating looks like cheating to the game?

This duplication issue is true for all trainers I've used. I've restarted my file, as there's barely much content in the game still atm, and I've used all cheats EXCEPT any item manipulation and there's been no snags.

I used the item duplication to get a second Poor Unfortunate Eric to keep forever. this item cannot be dropped however, is that a cheat you would be able to add? Drop Any Item?

It works for the gold coins only, the "star" coins are premium currency.

no... moonstones are paid premium currency. I ended up doing my Star Coins with cheat engine lol

Ah, I misunderstood. I haven't played much of this game so I don't know what that currency is. I only made this cheat for the gold coins.
