Sorry for the delay folks. I updated my table with EDIT 8.5 for version 4.0 of the game. I think I have everything working but let me know of issues. Link in the first post to the page where the update is at.

How to use this cheat table?
  1. Install Cheat Engine
  2. Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
  3. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
  4. Keep the list.
  5. Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

does not work with the gog version
after restoring Managed dlls it worked.
so it's compatible with Unity Console patch.

- "Change Ability Points On Level Up" does not work. sometimes adress(es) are incorrect or none at all.

Sorry if I am missing something obvious but I am unable to get the Enable checked with the newest CT.

I am a bit of a noob when it comes to the software so I might be doing something incorrectly.

This is what I tried to do in order.

Run POE2 via Steam
Open CE
Load my save file and open my Char Sheet
Point CE at POE2 in the Process list
Open the CT
Click it active
Try (and fail) to click Enable

Something is going on as when I check back into the game I can see my money is listed as the infinity symbol until I close cheat engine.
What exact order do I need to do it in to make it work?

When Drummer first posted this new one I briefly loaded it to see if it worked but didnt use it. Now I am having the same issue as the user above me but I've tried relaunching the game to no avail.

EDIT: It started working for reasons I'm not fully sure of? I'm happy but if you know how to explain it for other users please do!

For me its:

1. Open Cheat Engine table for Pillars of Eternity 2

2. Launch Pillars of Eternity 2

3. Point Cheat Engine table at Pillars of Eternity 2

4. Load save file

5. Open and close character sheet multiple times

6. Active Cheat Engine table

7. Enable

Has not failed me so far

This is a guide for people who are looking for more ability points per level.

You will need:
download/file.php?id=12913 - DrummerIX's cheat table

download/file.php?id=12778 - Csimbi's cheat table

Have the character you want to give more ability points to ready to level up

1. Launch DrummerIX's cheat table

2. Launch Pillars of Eternity 2

3. Load save and go to in and out of your character sheet multiple times

4. Go to DrummerIX's cheat table

5. Select Pillars of Eternity 2 as the process to open

6. Activate DrummerIX's cheat table

7. In the Scripts tab, tick "Maximum Power Level" ( This is so that you can use your ability points on all abilities regardless of level)

8. Close DrummerIX's cheat table

9. Launch Csimbi's cheat table

10. In Pillars of Eternity 2, open and close your character sheet multiple times

11. Go to Csimbi's cheat table

12. Select Pillars of Eternity 2 as the process to open

13. Tick "aobCharacterCreationCharGrabber", the value column should be full of question marks

14. Go to Pillars of Eternity 2

15. While holding down the left Ctrl key, then left click the golden + on the character you want to give more ability points to

16. Go to Csimbi's cheat table

17. The "aobCharacterCreationCharGrabber" "ability selections" value column should now have numbers on them, either 1 or 2

18. Change the numbers to whatever you want

19. Done!

At the moment only number 13 is enough, don't know why you need to do all the other steps.

(Drummer's updated ability script didn't work for me; its showing insane numbers in the value column. Csimbi's work tho).

What table are you using? What options do you have on? Also how do you turn on "turn based combat". Is this something when starting a new game?

Problems I found so far:

both tables:
- Pointers for skills changed

Csimbi's table:
- money pointer wrong
- aobCharacterCreationCharGrabber pointer changed
(Example: Ability Selections [0] changed the last pointer entry (double clicking pointer) from A8 to B0. Seems to be the same with [1])

DrummerIX's table:
- ability cooldown and resources script naturally not working

one hit kill still seems to work

(will update as I find more problems)

Edit: @DrummerIX: it's a new mode, available when starting a new game.

Only tried Csimbi's table since yours' level up ability script wasn't working for me even before today's patch(which added turn-based mode). Anyway, Aporie's post is more informative :D

I may be doing something incorrectly, but this did not work for me. There was no golden cross, and the aobCharacterCreationCharGrabber values never filled.

You only see the golden plus when a character is ready to level up.

You can only do this when a character is ready to level up.
