Final Fantasy XII Editor (Steam)

Post by fireYtail3DYTFB »

TLDR; Features include: hotkeys, replace anyone with any enemy, make Guests and Espers have all Magicks and Technicks, fully customizable Reks Licenses and Quickenings, Party Editor, Gambit Editor, License Editor, Character Editor that allows using any Equipment (Guest, Esper and enemy too) or editing Augments including enemy-exclusive ones, and more!

My projects are provided as-is, without any warranty or responsibility on my part. You are solely responsible for how you choose to use it. If in doubt, don't overwrite your save file (save to multiple and different slots)

YouTube video showing features: [Link]

The CT file is 13,3 MB so I had to compress it as it exceeded size limit. Pass the word is required so I put it as file comment since I'm not familiar with how I'm supposed to share it  Updated to version 1.2

This file includes the following sections/headers. Within each section, this is the list of what you can change or do. It works regardless of language settings, playing in English isn't required (the game has duplicate files for each language, so some mods/tools only have English support, this isn't an issue here). Name changing uses your game's current language, so something like "Zodiark: Keeper of Precepts" will be translated.

General and Cheats:

- Gil, steps, clan points and time played.
- Chain level and chain amount.
- Current RNG position (the game has a pre-built list of 624 "randomly generated numbers" and simply advances to the next number whenever it needs to do RNG, when it's in the last position it goes back to the first)
- Esper Gambit target name (only selectable through the Gambit Editor, default name is NOT USED no_chip)
- Show or hide user interface (as a photo mode of sorts)
- Teleport locations list: any of the 25 slots.
- Any or all special battle fields: HP down, MP down, Attack disabled, Magicks disabled, Technicks disabled, Items disabled, Magnet.
- Cheating features: invincibility, 99999 damage, always spawn rare enemies, endless summon time, endless chocobo time, endless chocobo sprints, manipulate items from Steal, manipulate items from Poach, manipulate item drops from enemies.
- Camera distance to party leader: be it through hotkeys or manually, editing this will be required if using large enemies.

Inventory related:

- Amount of the following individual Loot: Teleport Stone, Pinewood Chop, Sandalwood Chop.
- Copy all locked and unlocked maps: to a different save file or to a text file in your computer for later use.
- Any or all maps in the game.
- Copy all usable item amounts: to a different save file or to a text file in your computer for later use.
- Amount of any or all usable items.
- Copy all Loot amounts: to a different save file or to a text file in your computer for later use.
- Bulk-edit Loot: have 0, 1, 98 or 99 of all Loot.
- Copy all Equipment amounts: to a different save file or to a text file in your computer for later use.
- Bulk-edit Equipment: have 0, 1, 6, 98 or 99 of all Equipment (except normally unobtainable)
- Amount of any or all unsellable Equipment (except normally unobtainable)
- Copy all locked and unlocked abilities: to a different save file or to a text file in your computer for later use (doesn't include Esper Technicks)
- Bulk-edit Abilities: all Magicks and Technicks (doesn't include Esper Technicks)
- Copy all locked and unlocked Gambit targets: to a different save file or to a text file in your computer for later use.
- Bulk-edit Gambit targets: all Gambit targets.

Party Editor, Weapon Editor, Ability Editor:

- Party Editor: edit active party slots (x4) and reserve party slots (x5), to have any combination of characters that you want, including all Espers (without a timer and with access to their Gambit menu, even in vanilla game)
- Player Weapon editor: make any or all obtainable Weapons hit or miss flying enemies.
- Enemy Weapon editor: make any or all Guest, Esper and enemy Weapons hit or miss flying enemies. Change Guest, Esper and enemy Equipment names and icons to any of your choosing.
- Player ability editor: make all Guests and Espers be able to use all player abilities, or individually edit availability and required "item" in inventory (By default, the required "items" are Magicks and Technicks bought in shops)
- Enemy ability editor: lock or unlock all enemy abilities, or individually edit availability and description (By default, all descriptions are blank)

Character Editor - Everyone including Espers:

- Name seen in menus and battle: to any playable character, Esper, enemy, usable item, Magick, Technick, Esper Technick, enemy attack/ability, obtainable piece of Equipment, and a few more.
- Model/appearance: to any playable character, Esper, enemy, and some NPCs that don't participate in battle.
- First, second and third Quickenings (Only main party members and Reks -- Guests and Espers don't have this!)
- Level, EXP, LP and Max Mist bars.
- Weapon, Off-hand, Helm, Armor and Accessory slots: all Equipment in the game (with Guests, Espers and enemies Equipment)
- Attack Power, Evade and Magick Evade (regardless of Weapon and Off-hand slots)
- Elemental affinities for any or all 8 elements: absorb, immune, resist, weak and boost character's own elemental attacks (+50% damage)
- Any or all active augments: from License, from Equipment, from both, and enemy-exclusive (see list below)

- Action of any individual slot in any set (includes using any Quickening, summoning any Esper, using any Esper Technick and using any enemy attack/ability)

License Editor - Main party and Reks:

- Change first job, second job, or make the character not have any job, while keeping any Licenses still activated, includes "Original License board" job. DO NOT CHANGE THESE WHILE THE LICENSE MENU OR LICENSE BOARD IS OPENED, GAME WILL CRASH!
- Copy a whole character's activated Licenses: to a different character, to a different save file or to a text file in your computer for later use.
- Any or all individual Licenses: all Licenses in the game (sharing Esper Licenses is perfectly possible)
- Any or all individual Licenses: categorized by License types, to get it fully customized as quickly as possible.
- Any or all individual Licenses: all Licenses within each of the 12 jobs, to complete or remove any job as quickly as possible (except Quickenings, Espers, and missable Licenses, which won't be bulk-edited)

License Editor - Guests and Espers:

- Change first job, second job, or make the character not have any job, while keeping any Licenses still activated, includes "Original License board" job (changing this doesn't have any effect for Guests and Espers in vanilla game)
- Copy a whole character's activated Licenses: to a different character, to a different save file or to a text file in your computer for later use.
- Any or all individual Licenses: categorized by License types (only augment Licenses, since others don't have any effect in vanilla game)

You can make more hotkeys with any setup of enemies/equipment that you want, or any other changes. This is much more convenient than manually changing everyone/everything again after you closed the game. I guess you already know how to make hotkeys (and if you don't, look it up, it's easy)

The hotkeys to increase camera view are useful while having very large enemies in your party. Since the default camera is intended to play with humes/viera, big enemies pretty much require them.

List - Enemy-exclusive augments

NOTE: This list is included within the file.

- Make character immune to received attacks' knockback effect.
- Make character immune to Instant Death, fractional damage and Syphon.
- If character's evade isn't 0, evade is increased by 25.
- Piercing (defense-ignoring) damage received is reduced to 12,5% (1/8)
- (Useless for the player): Make character immune to Libra's effect.
- All damage received is reduced by 30%
- Character's Attack damage is increased by 20%
- Character's Attack damage is doubled, but also hits self.
- Nothing costs MP (Mist must still be spent)
- (Useless for the player): Upon receiving damage of weak element, a message will be displayed saying that the elemental weakness of the character has changed. However, the elemental weakness doesn't change.
- Attack has no charge time, being used instantly like an item. Technicks are unaffected, so stuff like Telekinesis must still charge.
- Magicks have no charge time, being used instantly like an item. Shades of Black is also affected in the same way, but not other Technicks.
- Make character immune to all physical damage, but not to status effects.
- Make character immune to all magical damage, but not to status effects.
- Make character immune to all status effects, including benefitial ones.
- 5% of damage received by the character is instantly returned to the attacker

There are also other 5 unknown enemy-exclusive augments. If you know what they do, please share your findings.

Probably either the chain count, loot level or bulk loot edit (only things touched) has caused any loot/equipment picked up from monster drops not to deposit in inventory, didn't notice until both saves were overwritten so it's bricked, gotta start a new game. :(

I don't know if you're the same person as the one who commented on the linked YouTube video. If you're not, please refer to the comments section of the video for detailed instructions on how to fix this. There aren't many other comments so you will find it easy.

Also, it's not my fault that you overwrite your only save. The game has 200 slots for you to use. Don't be so careless next time. My projects are provided as-is, without any warranty or responsibility on my part. You are solely responsible for how you choose to use it.

EDIT: This is the comment, because I know you won't bother to go to the YouTube video... People these days just want babysitting... This is the comment from myself, in the quote:
FF12 seems to have flags somewhere for whether you have acquired an item or not, so even if the amount isn't 0, the game still checks the "obtained flag" first. I never found where those flags are located, so bugs like that can happen, because only the amount is changed, not the flag. So if you have this problem, here's what you should do.

Instead of using the "bulk edit" options, use the "copy all" options to copy the numbers from Cheat Engine, then paste it to an empty tab in Notepad++. Press Control + H to open the "Replace" menu. In "search mode", select "regular expression" or "regex". In "what to search" or "what to look for", use this:

\b(?!0)\d+\b

And in "replace with" use the amount that you want, such as 98 (anything between 1 and 99 is fine). Then, press the button "replace all". This way, you don't have to manually replace them one by one. Finally, copy it from Notepad++ and paste it back into Cheat Engine (into the "copy all" option)

If you don't have Notepad++, you can use any other text editor that has a regex search-and-replace feature. If you don't have anything like that, you can use Windows Notepad, but you will have to change up to 235 numbers manually, so it will take you a really long time and patience... You will prefer to just download Notepad++
NOTE: This applies to Loot, Equipment and usable Items. You must have 1 (or more) of each first. If you had 0, following the above steps won't change it. This is intentional because this is when the bug happens.

You can theoretically "fix" an already edited save by replacing all to 0, however, since you used the "bulk edit" option, there's no way to only delete the items you didn't have, so you will lose all if you do that (all Loot, all Equipment or all usable Items). So if you still have the save (which I doubt), you could fix it, as long as you're willing to start again from an empty inventory and pick up 1 of each item again (legitimately in the game, not via Cheat Engine). Unsellable Equipment can be manually changed, so you don't have to worry about losing Dawn Shard to use it in the Stillshrine of Miriam or anything. If you had it before changing to 0 (obtained in-game), the game will list it if you change it to 1 or more again. But for everything else, you need to re-obtain in-game, as there are no individual amount options - or spend hours in Notepad changing hundreds of numbers one by one to recover your original inventory, but you probably don't want to go that route, you will become insane.

Maps, Magicks, Technicks and Gambit targets don't have this bug (they don't have an amount)

This is not because I want to make it difficult for you, this is because the file is too big to upload directly and per this website's rules ZIP files must be passworded or they will delete it. I don't choose the attachment size limit or the site rules. And as the other person already pointed out, the password is right next to the attachment download link. You are blind to ask without reading. It is right in front of you.

I was checking my GitHub backup of a few cheat tables I used for FFXII from Nexus as I remembered using your table and it was awesome! I do hope your doing well as you seem to have left Nexus but I'm sure you have your reasons. Anyways I found out that I had a copy of the v1.3 table and had backed it up to my GitHub. If it's not any issue I could always attach a copy here so anyone who goes looking for it can at least use a more modern version but I completely understand if you'd rather I didn't.
