Dude, you're a hero. This is almost a 1/1 remake of the original Ninja Gaiden. While I remember my early days fighting the frustration and working my way through it on the old cart, I'm now nearly 40 and don't have all that time. Plus, the guy seems to have put some real love into it. So now I can kind of explore the game and see how much he got right, and what he improved, added on.
I am gonna say that the helicopter in the first stage was absolutely unnecessary. That stage was difficult enough without it. Good for like a hard mode extra, but in the normal main game it's overkill.
