Updated to 23.0.0 x64 AVX with Mediavps 4.6 (Latest version):
EDIT:Fixed the ship/loadout editor to also show numbers (for manual use with mods).
1. Fixed everything and alphabetized the ship/loadout editor.

Table will AUTO-ATTACH if game is already running.
Make sure you install and use Knosses (VERY nice)..
1. VASTLY improved table. (See screenshot)
2. Ship loadout editor will now edit ANY ship you clickon including your squad mate ships. You can basically choose any ship or weapon for any mission and set your squad as any ship/any weapon.

First install Freespace 2 GOG or steam. Then install Knossos which will also install freespace open (FSO) and any mod you want thru the knossos installer . FYI, the MediaVPS packages are the updated graphics for the original freespace 1 & 2 campaigns. Knossos is fricken AWESOME, and some of the mods are basically entirely new games and knossos automatically downloads, installs, and lets you run any of the mods/conversions you choose thru its interface. Its SO simple and easy now:

This table will work with any mod that uses Freespace 2 Open v21.2.0 (64bit AVX). MOST of the mods use this version. Look at the bottom of the screen when when you start a mod (when at the pilot select) and you can see what version the mod is using. Virtually all the mods now use FSopen v21.2.0 opengl. In the Loadout select where you can force a weapon loadout or ship to be used before the mission starts: For different mods that don't use the standard freespace weapons/ships or use new weapons/ships just make a note of what number the loadout is showing you for the ship/weapon. You can just type that number in to force a particular ship/weapon in the mod you are playing. I've only named the main freespace1/2 stuff.

Click the like/Thumbs up button if it works and for your kind support. Thank you. :)

22.2.0 now. We're screwed, unless Gideon feels merciful one day :)

Aww, was looking forward to diving into some mods. Oh well, at least the old cheats that came with the game still work. A little unwieldy, but they do the trick.

Still, the table was kickass.

I'm running windows 11, and can't seem to get the cheat engine to work, it says the app can't run on your pc. check with the publisher.
any help?

Sadly, fs2open is now on ver 23 and most of the popular mods require it... any chance for an update? :(
Thanks

I took a different approach, took current fs2open source and compiled it, went surprisingly smooth, only wants vulkan sdk installation and some newer community visual studio and was able quickly to find out how to disable weapon energy drain, missiles usage and infinite afterburner. Tried to find afterburner max boost and missiles lock but failed. Anyway if someone wants I can create a patch file to compile it yourself or upload somewhere the 23.1.0.0 based version

This may be user error, as im not as familiar with utilizing cheat engine, but when i go to select the game process, it allows me to select FSO but doesnt let me attach the table to it while running. it doesnt seem to recognize the game exe. i checked everything lined up version wise but its baffling to me
quick edit.. it is probably me. my process is named SSE2 instead of AVX

further update. Seems knosses automatically chooses the extension used. in my case its SSE2, so if by some bit of mercy the table could be made for that version (as im tearing my hair out trying to get this to work) id greatly appreciate it
