Hi all,
  • GodMode with increased damage (5k each hit, hehe)
  • gain 100.000 XP for each kill
  • gain 100 gold every time you buy something instead of losing gold
  • some pointer-pathes which should work to edit the amount of points you can spent at levelup
have fun,
Marc

The attribute pointers weren't working for me so I have updated the table with new pointers. My IWD2 exe details (on Windows 7) shows the version as 2.0.1.0 and the Options screen in the game shows 2.01 (101615). I have also added a few pointers.

Included: Abilities, Skills, Feats and Spells for new characters, as well as on level up. Spell points are applicable only to classes that can learn spells, like bards and sorcerers.

Fixed: 5k damage was working only for melee damage, not for missile. Fixed.
Updated: Changed 100 gold on purchases to 1000 gold. Note that this applies not only to purchases but to all transactions: buying, selling, temple services, etc. Recommended that you turn this cheat off when selling items or you may end up getting less gold for valuable items.
Added: You can now modify the amount of XP you get per kill. The default value is still ridiculously high at 100,000, but you may wish to lower this to a more sober value!

Added hotkeys for all cheats:
Godmode + 5k dmg: Alt+G
XP gain: Alt+X
Store prices: Alt+S
New character
- - Ability points: Ctrl+1 will increase value by 1, Ctrl+Shift+1 will decrease value by 1
- - Skill points: Ctrl+2 will increase value by 1, Ctrl+Shift+2 will decrease value by 1
- - Feat points: Ctrl+3 will increase value by 1, Ctrl+Shift+3 will decrease value by 1
- - Spell points: Ctrl+4 will increase value by 1, Ctrl+Shift+4 will decrease value by 1
Level up
- - Ability points: Alt+1 will increase value by 1, Alt+Shift+1 will decrease value by 1
- - Skill points: Alt+2 will increase value by 1, Alt+Shift+2 will decrease value by 1
- - Feat points: Alt+3 will increase value by 1, Alt+Shift+3 will decrease value by 1
- - Spell points: Alt+4 will increase value by 1, Alt+Shift+4 will decrease value by 1

You can, of course, directly enter a number (say 20... or even 100) for any of the points instead of increasing/decreasing them by 1.

Fixed: The pointers to attribute points were not working on some installations of the game. They should now work across many more versions, but some players may still face problems depending on what game version + mods they have.

Fixed: If the table was closed after activating some cheats, it was impossible to activate them again without completely restarting the game. Now the table can be opened and closed as many times as you wish during a game session.

Added: Unlimited Spells & Special Abilities (hotkey Alt+S): Your memorized spells and special abilities will never get consumed.

Modified: Store prices hotkey is now Alt+M (for merchants) and Alt+S has been assigned to the spells cheat.

Enjoy!

Sorry people, Unlimited Spells was not working for the spellbar of sorcs and bards. It is now fixed in this update.

Aaargh and double aargh. Cleric spontaneous casting was still reducing spells. :x It is now fixed in this update. Hopefully this is the last one!
  • Update: Unlimited Spells now also accounts for cleric's spontaneous casting.
  • Modified: Added a separate cheat to double all XP gained. This is to simulate Icewind Dale's Insane Difficulty. AFAIK IWD2 doesn't give any additional XP for playing at higher difficulties so this should make it more worthwhile to try out the more difficult mode. I've tested this with monster deaths, quest completion as well as the 10000xp book you can buy from the Black Raven Monastery -- all XP is doubled even though the cheat is named "per kill". The same is true for Add XP.
  • Note: Add XP and Double XP cannot be on together. The script should take care of that but just in case it doesn't, turn one off before turning the other on.
  • Modified: Add XP by default now only adds 100 points to each XP gain instead of the previously insane 100000. Note that this is 100 points per party member so in a full party you will still be getting 600 extra points for even killing a rat -- not that there are any rats in IWD2 that I know of :D In most cases, Add XP will generally give you more points than Double XP.
  • Update: Alt+X shortcut is now assigned to Double XP instead of Add XP.

God Mode + 5000 damage and the "Cast infinite spells" scripts don't work for me. I still die to enemies hitting me despite the HP not lowering.

What mods do you have installed? The cheats have been tested on the vanilla game with 1 mod installed. See details here: viewtopic.php?p=243050&sid=549b61482bcc ... 56#p243050. I don't play with Godmode on so that hasn't been through extensive testing but Unlimited Spells definitely works on that installation.

Edit: Just tested Godmode and you're right, the characters do die even though HP doesn't decrease. I'll look into it when I have time. Unlimited spells works on my installation so it must be a mod issue.

No mods. Just the base vanilla IWD2 from GOG.

It might be because I'm a Sorcerer? I dunno. I rest and have the spells available to cast but they still go down after the function.

It's no huge deal since you can console command the game like the Enhanced Editions of IWD1 and other Infinity Engine titles, but it'd be nice to have the God Mode to make combat faster if possible.

I finished playing a full start-to-finish of IWD2 with a sorc in my party a few days ago. The earlier tables did not give them infinite spells but the last 2 tables do on my installation. So unfortunately I am unable to fix this coz I can't replicate it. You could try starting a game with other casters and report back?

Tested Marc's original table for Godmode... player still dies with that. The script is not able to distinguish hits from monsters and players. Both players and monsters end up doing 5k damage to each other. Sorry people, this will take some time to resolve.

Woohoo? Godmode +5k appears to be fixed in this table. Took a lot of work. However it is NOT extensively tested. We know for sure that the previous code was not working so no harm giving this a go right? Please let us know if it works or not.

Possible game breaker: The way I have written this code, I am desperately hoping that certain monsters also don't attain godmode. If certain creatures refuse to die (or fall unconscious in case of trolls), you will have to turn this cheat off while killing them. If that happens, please report here which creatures and which map.

This has not at all been tested with damage coming from spells. My suspicion is they can still kill you -- off the top of my head I can think of blast skeletons that do spell damage with Snilloc's Snowball Swarm. Maybe efreeti do spell damage? There're cloudkill traps and other traps, plus spiders that cast a localized kind of cloudkill. All other creatures from what I remember use spells only as buffs/debuffs.

Will also be nice if you can confirm if unlimited spells works with your casters (sorc + others) using this table -- that code has not changed since the last one.

God Mode does the 5000 damage to me like you say with the Orcs at the Ruined Village in Chapter 1 (where you have to sneak to save the villagers). It's not a big deal because: The infinite spell effect works now. I can just chain lightning (wolololololo~) enemies to death in mass groups with the ctlaltdel console cheat that lets you heal damage.

So thank you, it'll make going through the game much easier to do now. If I get another level up, I'll have to get a bow or some other ranged weapon to see if the 5000 damage to me also applies to enemies.

When I tested the new cheat, monsters were not able to beat me down at all in melee. I checked -- their hits were connecting but doing zero damage to me. I just stood there and took a beating without retaliating. So your experience is strange to me. Unable to check right now but I will test it out with these specific monsters when I get my computer fixed. Are you certain you are using the latest file?

Not sure which console cheat you are referring to. If you have cheats enabled (ctrlaltdelete:EnableCheatKeys()), you can simply hover your mouse on a portrait or character and hit Ctrl+R, they will be fully healed. Monsters can be healed this way too.
When you say infinite spell works, I'm assuming you're still using a sorc?
Thanks for the update

Yeah. They were using archers in addition to melee, which might be the problem.

Yeah, that's what I'm referring to. I just CTRL+R my portrait while casting Chain Lightning and let it rip with the infinite spells.

Yes.
