I care about Inf. Ethic and Trait Points and Inf. Trait Perks. Unless there is another option to get them when creating a new empire? Because I do not see it in the file. Thanks for the help.
It's in the extension on this page: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=101#p759
It's the second post in the thread.

I still have to update it though. The traits should work, but ethics and civics require manual updating.
I'm currently not able to update for a while, but you can find the values easily by yourself:
Edit the 00_defines.txt file in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Stellaris\common\defines
You change the ethics and civics points to two easy to find, but different values (like 134679 and 976431), it should be unique in the game memory. Then start the game, look for the values in cheat engine. The addresses (stellaris.exe + some value) will be static until the next game update.
Save those addresses and close stellaris.
Change the 00_defines.txt back to what it was before. If you start the game now, you'll be able to edit the values.

Anyone help? :o
The table extension (check the first page) has the pointers you're looking for. The last option, 'Race Editing/Creation', should let you have all the points you'd like :D

In case anyone still doesn't understand CompactDisc's instructions/is too lazy:

In Stellaris 2.2.3, ethic points address is stellaris.exe+116154C and civic points address is stellaris.exe+1161E2C
In Stellaris 2.2.4, ethic points address is stellaris.exe+116760C and civic points address is stellaris.exe+1167EF4

In what version? Because I can't get that to work in 2.2.3.

Hi guys,

A table was updated for version 2.2.5 (aab4) at the first post.

Cheers!

Perhaps I'm missing a trick here, but the table this time around doesn't appear to working. When activating it, instead another box just shows up called MAIN SCRIPT.

Question about extension table - is there an easier way to find pointers for ethics/civics by yourself? I mean, with a hundred+ mods, it's kinda hard to keep track, which one modifies the defines.txt file

Can we get a working one for 2.2.4 live version? the 2.2.4 beta and the 2.2.5 are not working for me.

I tried finding easier ways, so I could make it auto-update just like the other pointers. But to no avail. I assume that the function to call the pointers happens at game launch only. Actually, I'll try to hack that point and see if it works, then these pointers should auto-update after all. I'll let you know.

I would recommend leaving them as they are. Under some circumstances you already can FUBAR your game start with them no need to make it even more complicated.

How to royally screw yourself over during game creation:
- Create any combination of two species on your homeworld start and mod both from the start. You can only reset the ethics/civics of your second changed species back to standard values when done which still leaves your first species with the inflated values. Now take a guess which value the randomly generated empires default back to.

I have just tried 2.2.4 beta with the current steam version 2.2.4-0019 and the script loads ok.

Cheers!

Legendary Worlds mod broke resource pointer. maybe as compactdisc say, they change some resource code
Edit: There seems other mods also broke the pointer, finding it
Zenith of the fallen empire:Anicent cache won't work too.

Don't use these mods if you want to use cheat table

It's weird. I figured out how to do it, but it doesn't seem to be the right addresses. Either that, or I'm doing something wrong.

Edit:
In 2.2.3,ethics points address appears to be stellaris.exe+11745CC and civics points address appears to be stellaris.exe+1174EB0.

I got it working now, thanks to you guys. Kudos!
