So at first I tried it in a mod, and figured I'd try it in the base game before sending a message. The trainer will not activate. I've tried it with the Lau Script and without and just clicking Find Player Base. Nothing happens. I have the Steam Version and I even validated the files to make sure no mod install messed anything up.
It seems like you simply forgot to attach Cheat Engine to the game process, try again

I did, multiple times, from the Application tab and Process tab, the one thing I forgot to mention.

Well, i have no idea why that doesn't work for you. All that i can suggest is to try to reinstall the game clean and after that try again. Maybe some mods interfere. I only tested it for Unification and Apocalypse

Also check your antivirus, turn it off

Does it work in LAN mode? I know it might cause some sync errors with instant player crash

It definitely doesn't work in online. I don't know about LAN, but i believe it's the same thing

Simply click no when a prompt asking you whether you want to execute a lua script, it should work

Remove fog of war didn't work
