I didn’t follow any tutorial—just the usual steps for installing an application on SteamOS. Here's how you can do it:
1. Add the executable to Steam—Locate the application you want to install and add its executable file to your Steam library as a non-Steam game.
2. Select the correct Proton version—In the game’s properties, enable Proton and choose the appropriate version that works best for the application.
3. Run the installation by running through the steam
4. Modify the executable path—After done with the installation, you go to game’s properties, update the launch options or executable path if necessary to point to the correct file or script.
5. Install CheatDeck (Decky plugin):
Once everything is set up and running properly, install CheatDeck, a Decky Loader extension that allows you to use cheats while playing games.
