I changed the level of a trait to a high value by mistake and now I have too many available trait points. I tried to reset the 'Traits' value in the cheat table and save the game but these extra points will always come back after dying or after reloading the save. Any way to get rid of these extra trait points? I also lost all the save backups
How to use this cheat table?
Install Cheat Engine
Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
Keep the list.
Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1
^ if i recall well, traits are related to 'experience' level. Iow increasing traits will probably also increase experience total (see your respective archetypes). So if you want to lower traits total, you probably have to lower them resp. experience totals...
=> what probably happened: by increasing traits, the game increased the current exp_level of selected archetype accordingly. And keeps using this new exp_value to calculate your (minimum ?) trait_total ?!
(or something like that: it's been way too long... ~ see also readme)

I lowered all archetypes to 0, all traits to 0 and still getting the points back after dying. I created a new save, thanks anyway.
^I did NOT tell you to lower the archetype level(s)... Each archetype keeps its own experience counter/total; and you'll need to edit those values ! (again: see readme)
Is there any way you can add a damage reduction cheat to the table to help offset the enemy scaling? Or a cheat that reduces the enemy scaling to make it less?
^sorry, already spent quite some time on this table, so... besides, isn't this something "handled" by the difficulty level ?
Even having the difficulty level turned to the lowest setting there is still level scaling that makes things difficult for some players. I have a friend that wants to play this game, but the difficulty scaling makes it too difficult for them with the way it works now. If it was just a little bit easier then they would be able to play it. If I could figure out how it worked myself I would do it, and I have tried making a request on one of the other areas of this site, but it was rejected because two cheat tables already exist.
^ you can't. well, technically you could change that value but it will not make any difference ingame. iow it will not 'add' it a 2nd/etc time to your inventory. If you have the same equipment several times in your inventory already, then you should see it here also that many times... (if so, you picked it up somewhere - and the game allowed that - or you have used a console command... if that is even possible)
