You are wrong.
Not everybody update the game in steam. I play offline since some months ago, and there are more like me.
And others play an old pirated version and the table works for them, so it´s not an unusable table.
I did a backup of my folder game in version 1939208 and I will stay in that version until some mods will be updated, same for the table
how did you do that?

Before the game (January in my case) was updated, I copy the folder theHunterCotW from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common and I kept in another hhd.
If you update the game and you want going back you can change the new folder with the old one, but only it will work if you play offline.
If you updated the game and you have not a old version game folder backup, then there is no going back

When you get used to playing this game with mods and the mods are not up to date yet, playing the game with an outdated version is a very good option.
Example:
Due to the large amount of time needed to update this mod, I decided to only update this mod roughly twice a year.
"This mod will NOT be updated to the latest game version unless I explicitly announce an update.
You can set your game on Steam to "Update only when I play", and set Steam to offline mode if you'd like to prevent the game from being updated automatically."

Well, this mod is useful but not that important not to let the game be updated and get all new features, as for now, if u want an easy diamond, reset ur population til "that mod" say there's one on your map, and there's another mod to find it's exact location, but of course, thats not an option in multiplayer because i guess the population file from a multiplayer sesion is server-side XD
