Years ago I found a table somewhere that would reduce your “heat” between cities after you went on a thieving spree.

The game works that when you rob a city and don’t get caught everyone gets more alert of a thief. Guards check you more often, people get more defensive, etc., The effect is basically everyone in town remembers there’s newcomer and everything just sort of disappeared before he arrived.

The effect travels to neighboring cities as well, with less magnitude based upon where the initial thievery was occurring. Then cools down over a long period of time.

A couple of PC upgrades later, and For the life of me I can’t find the table and was wondering if anyone remembers it or one like it. Seems the recent ones don’t have this marker. I believe it was a type of reputation edit.
