Ascend from Nine Mountains
Ascend from Nine Mountains is a small free progressive xianxia game, you can get it for free on itch. I can not seem to edit any values using cheat engine or find any save files, anyone have anything to modify stats in it?

Its an electron app, with the save files stored in the IndexedDB under AppData\Roaming\AscendFromNineMountains\IndexedDB. That should help point you in the right direction if you want to try messing with things.

Greetings to those who were interested in using cheats in this game! I have discovered the promised path!
While I, similarly, have had no luck with Cheat Engine, fear not! The answer lies in back-up saves!
You'll want to start here: AppData\Roaming\AscendFromNineMountains
Go to your save back-ups, and find your current save game. Mine was called "jungus_malungus_1734652280461," though obviously yours will be different. You should only have one for each character, unless you've re-loaded a back-up before- in which case, you probably know how to do all this already!
If not, just make sure to double check the dates.
Within this folder, you'll see a bunch of .json files. Some will say "backup#min" where the hashtag will be 5, 15, or 30? I think? One will say "load.json"
They are all exactly what they sound like. Back-ups from x minutes ago for those files, and for "load.json," it's a back-up save created when you load that file.
Whenever you open one of those up, you'll notice fully legible and editable text! This is all you need to cheat the game!
(Spirit Stones are "money", the Sect currency is "favour", don't forget the u. If you want to find your inventory, search "stacks": with the colon and quot marks, and the first results should be all the stuff in your inventory. Feel free to add a few nines to the start of each number)
"But wait!" you say, "How do I load these back-ups and get all my hard-cheated numbers?"
It's simple! When you launch the game, hit "Continue Game." Don't select your current save game, though! At the bottom of the screen, TO THE RIGHT of the "Back" button, you'll notice a button with a "save" and "reload" symbol on it. Click on it, find the folder containing the .json you just edited, and select that file!
This will then create a second save game on your "Continue" screen. HIT THE ONE ON THE LEFT.
Congrats! You truly are the one most favored by Heaven!
(If you have questions about editing certain stats or adding items you haven't already obtained, I'd recommend just looking through the .json file. I've personally only increased my character stats, and increased the number of stuff that was already in my inventory. Also increased moneys, but that's a given.)
