Resident Evil Zero (And others) Changing game timer

Hello all, just downloaded cheat engine and used it to conquer the worst resident evil ever made, unfortunately I couldn't at all figure out how to change the game timer. It comes up with Playtime_Temp and values.... a plus and minus... it says address is 0000003C oO my head nearly exploded trying to figure this stuff out. Anyone got any ideas?
