So I can only guess possible fixes that might work or not, I updated the file at the location maybe it fixes it.
The game stopped running, even without the program, the certificate was deleted, and the hosts file was cleaned
That is unfortunate to hear since I never once had this problem and I only had to comment out the entry in hosts file to return to normal also never once not working.
What error do you get when running the game with my tool and what does my tool show?

Maybe he would need to let the game update first, as the error message is saying "stale context"...

There was also a 425 error, I cleaned temp + regedit, at least the game started running without everything
I created a guide on how to edit the time of events in Actions_Event.zip, i also attached a second text file that is responsible for the dates of individual mercenaries. If the guide is not clear to you, please contact me and I'll try to send you a ready file with the event of the mercenary of your choice. If you want to try your hand at it, be sure to do a back up Actions_Event.

Seems the config hash was updated, I added a new version of it and updated the file at location, maybe that helps.

What is the equivalent path on macOS? i tried going into Application Support then Steam etc but there's no XML_WindowsPlayer_aw-release_msg_v2021 folder or anything that looks similar
