Any particular reason the installer won't let you choose a custom directory to install to anymore? I prefer NOT to install to my system drive.

What's the latest CE without positive virus scan? I found CheatEngine66_NOsetup.rar, ESET says it's safe but it's outdated.

I'm unable to install CE 7.3. It runs then quickly finished without any confirmation. I checked and it's not installed in the start menu. I disabled my AV but same thing happens. Does it need internet connection for installing? My firewall didn't pop up if it did ask for internet connection.

Anyway, it's frustrating. Please release no setup version.

Update:

I can confirm that one has to be connected to the internet for the installer to work.

It's quite annoying that I can't even change the path of installation

^Agree but for now you can use a hard link ( directory junction ) to specify another drive and location

Dude, no one can help you, Patreon (and similar sites) has ruined many things, now the word "free" on the web has lost it's value. Anyone who creates something, even a fart that doesn't stink, asks for money. I strongly believe that the only good thing, are donations 'at will', the rest a sale or granting of a licence of the product.

It's not really "free" if it contains adware and PuP inside, so anyone who doesn't want to deal with these files will have to subscribe to Patreon. I don't mess with tables, nor with other free famous software, and the only thing I'm looking for, is a PuP-free version of CE.

Is it really that bad to dish out 3$ to support a software that you've gotten so much use out of and will?. But anyway, you can do what Tim said (click no) or just spin up a virtual machine and blindly install it.

You can compile it from GitHub source and build the installer yourself.

I did not make myself clear, I am not talking about all free software (I use Vlc, 7zip, Firefox and Gimp), but exclusively about Cheat Engine. Anyway, I solved it.

Is there somewhere else we can download CheatEngine7.4_MissingSetup? Or are we stuck with outdated v7.2 where new tables do not work...
