Patreon, should be a link either here or on it's home page but it would be a recurring monthly subscription, however it's one of those where you can cancel at any time.

What do you mean punish? Dark Byte made the app, he has every right to ask money for it. Why should his reputation be ruined and it makes him a bad guy?

Personally I don’t like all the malware crap I have to dodge to install too but it is what it is I suppose. At least we get it free in the end

Thanks. One last question, I read the public version doesn't allow you to install where you want to, does the patreon download allow you to do that?

his reputation should go to 0.
for predatory cashgrabbing without giving alternatives.
and not releasing "missing setup" or at least "not virus infested" versions.
like... 7.4 on patreon = 7.3 released free and without virus ads.

all what we have is virus warning on current 7.4 downloader.AND NONE OF ANY PREVIOUS VERSIONS ON SITE..
(also i illiterally can't install 7.4 as it won't allow me to download it with loader from official site. it just errors with virus warning..
and i won't mention that even if i could dl it... installing a CE core that comes if you install it properly without "missing setup"
is worst possible thing ever... as ton of games anticheats just triggers on it and won't allow play at all.)

there "is" github version..
exept.
code in it is broken and won't compile at all
by giving tons of warnings and error at the end
and probably broken code there is also a bait
"hey give up and go on patreon"

(still. let me remind you. i could agree with 7.4 "timed" patreon exclusivity IF 7.3 and all previous versions was available.... but now...

The virus is Cheat Engine itself, not the ads:

I do not support previous versions. If there is an issue, I will fix it in the current version. Going to older versions just causes scattering and people using buggy versions.
