Apparently it doesn't work for this version.

I just tested this on Goldberg version and it's currently working for me. It could be on your end. Try to right click on the 'Activate' and go to group config and untick 'hide children when deactivated' and add process manually. Then try whether you can activate the scripts. Do this at the main menu.

Edit: Strange though why it's not working for you. It works for me both steam & non-steam.
