Guys, Aliv3 is right. Hacking minerals through Cheat Engine is very easy.
Go to the cave with skills columns, interact with any column to show your current minerals value. In cheat engine setup search this way:
Value type - Float;
Scan type: Value between;
If your current minerals value says 5.1, set values as 5.1 and 5.2.
Then gather some more minerals (there is plenty of it in the cave), wait about 5 seconds. Interact with column, see the new value, search again. In the end you get about four values, but there will be only one that will be editable (that is the value you need to edit).

After that you can level up any skill, so it would be easy to hack skills' levels too. Just use Ashar's advice: search for "4 Bytes + Exact value".

This works great for finding the value, but on attempting to change the value, it immediately reverts back to the original value.
Setting the address to active also doesn't stop it from reducing when you "spend" the points ingame.

I'm unfortunately to "new" to figure out how to work around this or find the values that change this.

Anyone still play this, that wouldn't mind having a fiddle with the code?

+1, Also as of 1.0.3 the fantastic ability to double jump has been removed. I will continue to search for it.
