I give up. Been trying for 2 days, I'm too noob.

Used asar extension on 7zip to extract the app.asar file.
Put the edited Z.js into the disbuild/static/game folder.
Repacked it back into app.asar.

When I try to run the game with a modified app.asar the game doesn't open. Tried a lot of trial and error, but nothing works.

You don't need to repack the "app.asar" file

extract the "app.asar" file whit 7zip in a new folder called "app"
rename the orginal "app.asar" file to what ever you want
do your chances on the Z.js file and save
and start your game

Sadly I encounter the same problem. The game won't start if I modify the "app.asar" file.

That would be against the point of my changes though, as it would be easily detectable. Most, if not all of the changes I've done are aimed to change things dramatically in a way that isn't going to have people shouting. I'll continue to review, and those changes are easy for the individual to make.

In terms of hosting, I thought Filebin was ok? Who would you recommend?

Yeah you right about that.
For ~50mb file try archive it (rar/zip) and try zippyshare? A bit of ads but not too much and pretty fast download for file about this size.

Also can you provide your unminify original Z.js? I would love to compare the file and learn some of your work part where I cant figure it out yet.

It is unminified. It's 37mb, but it is already zipper. Filebin does that for you on upload. I could try and compress more beforehand but its a text file, so it's not going to get too much more compressed, but downloading it didn't seem to take too long. I have tested dl it twice since uploading and it's been barely a minute both times

Because people are still struggling with the z file:

install:

Do not forget to follow the instructions to install the asar plugin! its on the web page..

When u finished installing both go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Legends of Idleon\resources
You will find a file named app.asar
extract this file with 7z to app:


Now rename app.asar to whatever u want. I use : app2.asar or appBackup.asar

go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Legends of Idleon\resources\app\distBuild\static\game
and there will be the z u can freely edit it with any software of ur choice, personally I use visual studio code.

edit: I recommend using and replacing the z file with the one from notpikachu

anyone know a way to edit inventory? I accidentally bought a gem shop item that i put in the gem store that does not actually exist ( i mistyped the name in the file) and now i cannot open my inventory without crashing the game i need to find a way to remove this false item from my inventory, or make an item with that id name :3

Here's a csv file (despite that I named it .txt) with all the item names and id's:

Everything should be fine in there except for the card names (whilst id's are fine). I will have to tweak a small script I have to get the correct string on those card names, but I don't think it big enough a deal to bother another 10 to 15 minutes for that.

just enable GameGuardians Unrandomizer.

Value -1: (almost) every possible drop will drop
Value 0: Spawn Crystal Mob
Value 20: Highest "Crit" dmg, No Itemdrops it seems
Value 252: Mobs only drop their "mobdrop" and Gold, and mobs only walk small amount left/right
