most values are findable via a standard 4 byte scan. items can be found with as little as 4, but ideally 7 scans. One tactic is as long as you have 2. scan, sell one to the shop, scan, buy it back, scan, repeat.
level is also a singular value, and it looks like the game looks up an array or something to find what stats you should have (instead of a random increase every level). So level 50 is the maximum level and easy to get to, and editing level changes all your stats. Max level of items is 10 as well. Skill points are easily findable as well. every 5 levels is 1 pt increase to max level of a skill, so 10 point max.
re: item levels, you can scan and edit the item level and the stats will change. I would avoid scanning for an item when at base level (level 0), start after youve upgraded it to 1. increaseing item level manually is time consuming. I would personally prefer script that auto raises item levels to 10, but this is beyond my abilities.
the game seems quite happy to tolerate higher levels but theres no data for them, so taking a +2 sword to +100 likely wont change its stats at all. However, +10 is a significant increase. I expect similar results for level. Items similarly seem quite happy to be in the thousands where youll never run out of them.
HP is quite findable, has 3 values. probably 2 ui elements calling the actual value.
Short personal review: This game is good, but not as much depth as i would like. visuals are great and on brand, dialogue is at least partly machine translated but still servicable, the humor comes across albeit somewhat too quick. We may be missing some chinese cultural tropes. But the built in balance seems geared for a shorter game. i havent beaten it yet, so i could be wrong. I really quite like longer games similar to herotest like disgaea that have immense growth potential/upgrade game mechanics. numbers with exponents. haha
