DBK belongs to a different version of CE problem

Hi all, I am having a trouble getting my DVBM going.I have searched forums all over the internet and i am still stuck.

When i try to turn on DVBM in cheat engine 6.8.2. I get the message:
"The driver that is currently loaded belongs to a different version of Cheat Engine. Please unload this driver or reboot."


I have replaced the the dbk64.sys file with the unsigned one that you can find on the internet.

I tried adding the driver64.dat file.

I tried with both the cheat engine install file and a self compiled open source. I still get the same message.

Do i have to use the the version of cheat engine that matches the dbk file? or is this a signature problem?

In the CE folder there is a "Kernelmoduleunloader.exe", run that then reboot. Make sure you're doing a true reboot, windows 10 doesn't do this by default when you "shutdown".
