Ys 2 Difficulty

So Im trying to find out the address to change difficulty mid-game. But Im at loss where it could be. I tried many things like simple 0,1,2,3 etc, loading different saves and searching for unknown/changed, to looking at save games and trying to find the difference.
Where should I look? It should be stored somewhere.
