FearLess Cheat Engine

Hi everyone!

I have some strange trouble, as title describes, I'm unable to install Cheat Engine 7.1 using .exe downloaded from this link: [Link], when I try to launch .exe file, on my taskbar appears `Setup` button and disappears after few seconds, without error message or anything. Worth mentioning, that CheatEngine73.exe from [Link] installs just fine.
I haven't tried to compile sources of Cheat Engine 7.1 cause I was hoping there is an easier / qiucker way to find a solution, please let me know if I should try compiling and stop wasting your time

P.S. Some kind of checklist of what I've checked/tried (these conditions are the same for 7.1 and 7.3 exes):

• Windows Reputation-based protection is disabled
• CheatEngine71.exe is placed inside folder which is marked as Defender's exception
• Windows Defender doesn't have anything (notification, record in "security" history etc) about blocking CheatEngine71.exe execution

Might seem stupid to ask but are you executing the setup file with administrative rights?

Hi, yes, it wont even start to show `Setup` on taskbar without admin rights

Do you have badlion? This can prevent Cheat Engine from installing.

No idea what it is, but assuming that I've re-installed Windows from fresh recently, I would go with assumption that I don't have it. Also, as I mentioned, Cheat Engine 7.3 installation works fine

What about compatibility mode for Windows 7?

It's a problem from that .EXE. I get the same problem, so there's something wrong with it.

EDIT: I think that old installers are kaput due to the installer change. It tries to access the adware that it had and it can't. So it just closes.

I am unable to install cheat engine 7.3 because my AVG picks it up as malware, is it safe to download cheat engine 7.3 at all

Your antivirus is trash, cheat engine doesn't hate you, your antivirus hates you. Either trash it or disable it temporarily and add ce to its exception list.

This is something you should be asking AVG btw, ,why their trash antivirus won't let you install your favorite programs but their support is probably trash as well
