Address of an Item

Hi, im new to cheat engine and i'm trying to get the address of an item in a game i tried scanning the quantity but its not thr address that im looking for. Hope you guys can help me
use scan type unknown initial value
set fast scan alighnment to 1
use 4 bytes or 1 byte (it's usually four)
then switch between change value and unchange value
(first throw/sell something then change), then switch to unchange value, click as many times you see changes at the result
then throw/sell something again then click change value) so on so forth
until a few hundreds remains (much better below hundred)
then try to memory browse the result and figure out the possibile candidate and try to freeze it
