How Can I Find Static Values In The Main Menu Of A Game?

I attempted to find main menu static values and greyed out functions for Earth Defense Force 4.1 via scanning techniques. And I could never get Code filter to work even after following tutorials because the unwind function that everyone seems to use doesn't exist for this game.
If there is a lesson or tutorial out there would someone point me in the right direction?
I would like to forcibly unlock the greyed out functions and set limit values to off.
I would like to change the weapon and armor limits for a selected mission to a higher value.
I ultimately want to find the addresses which hold the value to change these static settings.
There is a table I made for this game on EDF 4.1 on Fearless and I would like to add this to it. Thanks!
