FTL stealth on jump

i'm trying to make a script that will stealth the ship on jump. i can do it with certain ships but can't seem to figure out how to make it work with all ships.
i'm thinking there is a check at some point that i'm not seeing & thats why it works for some & not for others but i can't figure out how to find that check.
