is there a way to add unique characters to the party?

is there anything for dropping editing duplicating soul cores? i don't see anything, but maybe i missed it or didn't realize the function.

For the "change item to drop" it's best to use the same rarity, so purple for combat arts here's some info about it i just tried dropping a purple item, made no difference.
