Mind sending me a save game? If you did it with an older version of the editor, those flags are probably not set correctly. Delete and recreate the item.

Can you let me know what item you added? I'm trying to reproduce, but I'm not getting it.

The game now requires new flags to be set to specify if an item is equippable and an aditional flag for weapons and shields.
Just added a dagger, a shield, and a piece of armor:

Hmm, I haven't inspected. I know there is now "Can be salvaged" flag, but I imagine if you took an item that was salvagable and changed it to a higher level one it should just work.

It's also possibly they changed more in that type definition section, I haven't fully investigated.

Those buffs may have unlisted requirements, may need to be set as an item buff, or may just not work at all.

The binary in the _1 should add items correctly. As I now set the inventory, and the EquipType flag for weapon and shields. Which item did you try to add?

Seems there's another thread for this game. I've updated the newest beta release that unlocks adding items directly to your stash.

caveats:
1. You can only view the stash in saves that have discovered the stash.
2. You can only view the stash if you're NOT in the same zone as the stash.

Hex is a legacy from the original editor, and I like the option of being able to copy something and paste it. I prefer hex as the numbers are still meaningless, but I can guarantee its only six characters long, the dropdowns are a bit unwieldy as theres 6k of them, and I haven't come up with some go...

The stash is grayed out because the editor is incomplete and the stash format has changed between remaster and the original. But I just added some support for stash manipulation. yhawkz is basically an ancient editor. I have no idea how it's passing the crc checks as I don't even see code to do it in that solution.

The editor or the game? Let me know if you're using the Steam version (only one I've tested) and so far I've found I can only edit saves that are named like `svd_fmt_5_0.sav`
If possible attach or send me a save so I can take a look.
