Yes, it only works with equipped items. It's already said offline mode's bank is different coded.

create a new game, create stockpile and haul items there then quit

go to user\current\appdata\locallow\Cracklewock\CursedCrew

then search resource names and change amount

launch the game

The gold is a DOUBLE value type. But you have to search it multi times, not everytime works.
