For skill scanning, it should be much faster in the Skill menu rather than any other menu - it shows a simplified list/detail. As I remember, some games shift their addresses around in different menus. I've verified this with the demons I have tried so far and they return 1-5 results instead of hund...

@DrummerIX: Thanks for giving it a try. I'm wondering if it's possible to have enemy drop all items to have better chance at the seeds, or possibly change whatever they drop to seeds? That might be an alternative to the problem, though I'm not entirely sure if it's easier to implement.

Hmm. Been doing some more testing with Licenses and that table isn't as accurate as I'd hoped. Seems a lot of the licenses have been moved around. Probably in an effort to group them together more. The addresses to unlock the second bestiary entries for monsters you've fought are somehow eluding me. I remember decreasing all the numbers to 1 in the PS2 IZJS version to easily unlock the second entries, but now the searches are not returning the right results. :/
