Is there any way to use CE/the table to tell a monster's size in-game? At least something to ease gold crown hunting a bit?

Hey, does anyone know an effective way to negate durability loss from weapon specials? The script stops normal durability loss, but attacks/moves that drain set amounts of durability (such as the Dragonslayer Spear's 1H R2 or the Channeler's Trident's dance) still do so.
