if any one have any idea is it safe to do the The Spiral Abyss with mods on ? or it's kind of a risk ?

it's weird after I tried the renaming dll file method and getting an error message I need to reinstall the game , then I rename it for what it was back then originally now the game keep giving me same error when I try to use cotton buds only but without it works fine ?
