tutorial on making your own tables?

I've been searching around on youtube but can't find any up to date, relevant videos on it, can someone link me to one or just about any article or something on making my own cheat tables? I play a lot of old games that the tables are not updated so I want to learn how to do it myself instead of relying on other nice people to do it for me.

There's an entire tutorial section (2, actually) here that should be enough to get you started. Also do the Cheat Engine tutorial (available from the Help menu in CE) to get the basics of scanning, etc.
'Up to date' is not really necessary... scanning for values is scanning for values, hasn't really changed between now and ten years ago, for example.
