so as we know the upcoming shadow of war will have micro transaction in it.

so basically there are people questioning that why not use cheat engine to get all the resources that those micro transaction porvides.

the answer to that is basically that since these resources now have real world monetary value using cheats to get that is basically as bad as stealing and can be liable for theft leading to imprisonment.

is this true?what are the precaution to be taken to be avoided being caught?

what are your opinion of this matter?

I find the general rule of thumb is that cheats are generally used to do things/obtain resources that can be obtained without spending money (just in a more timely manner/with less effort). If it is a premium currency/resource such a cheat can not/will not be made.

but it uses the lootbox system that means every resources can be obtained for free slowly but will also require real world money like xp,gold,weapons,armor,etc..........

Also note that legality is highly relative to the area you live/the product is hosted at.

The question of the actual monetary value of virtual goods is distinct to individual countries.

Im going to say yes, its completely fine, IF its not an online game. It happens all the time. Take a look at Freedom for Android, or LocalIAP Store etc for IOS. Especially when the devs charge $99 for "a pile of gold" or whatever, of course its going to be hacked. Micro transaction my ass..

Dragons Dogma charged money for RC points as well and that was hacked easily.

What are they going to do? Call the FBI, no knock raid your home, take you PC, look through your shadow of war save file to see if you manipulated your resources with your preferred hex editor? Unless save files are stored server side (they're not, you only need to be online to access the market) and you start messing with those you're free and clear.

I - for one - will be turning a blind eye on this one; since micro-transactions are total bullshit. I can wait to dig into the game...

Dead Space 3 has the same micro transactions, and I cheated on it to get the extra upper hand. No biggie.

How do you steal something that doesn't exist until it's requested?

That is such bull... of course its legal. They are not even putting in the effort of running servers to store your savegames, you are literally paying them to edit numbers in your game. Paid cheats.

This BS should be illegal honestly. Atrocious business practices.

OF fucking course it's legal, shadow of war for example, those motherfuckers made it that you rarely get like 0.5% chance or 1 in every 50, legendary orcs, to follow you or to kill for fucking legendary gear which is OP as fuck and gives alot of exclusive nice boosts if you pay you get them instantly 4 of them togather, just wow ..
Did I mention unfair boosts to xp ? basically hack... so who the fuck is actually stupid enough to pay for hacks ? we hack the hacks. end of story.
