I am having trouble with this, I put just the dinput8.dll, and reframework folder in the main DD2 folder. The rest is not necessary unless you want VR, right? But the game crashes before it even gets to the main menu. What might I be doing wrong?

Gotcha, thank you! I didn't understand that. In mean time if I am having crashes with the various trainers that are out there right now, what should I do? The cheat engine table i've tried, and the Cheat Evolution trainer i've tried, both crash the game for me. How are the trainer creators getting it to work and be stable for them? I'm grateful for all of the work done so far, of course! This sounds like its really challenging work to create a trainer for this game.

The game has an anti cheat, so cheating in any capacity currently can result in crashes. If you don't want to risk crashing, don't cheat for the time being. You can do simple things like edit values and then save at an inn, but anything involving active changes (infinite health, stamina, etc) you're going to more than likely crash.

Don Zachillos, sunbeam made a post about how to disable anticheat. Of course my skill level is to low to even try it.
