ok so I worked it out, you have to have a specific window pop up to have the character values change, this window only shows up for characters assigned to generals and governors

My attempt at a modded achievement script. Enable it in the menu and start a new ironman game, or load an existing one. There is a problem with Imperator in that you might have to press ESC and go to the achievements screen twice before it fires. This seems to be a problem with unmodded games as well.

Updated the table to also have the console. I recommend getting the mod "Toggle Debug Mode" instead of setting the bool to enable/disable the console (and you get a better UI for it than when running JUST console).

Updates:
2021-08-01: Seems I previously only fixed the check for the 'cash' command in Ironman. Changed it to modify the CGameState object. Enable when in the game so the CGameState object exist.

2024-05-08: Might have updated the achievement, debug and console bit. It is a bit fiddly, enable console while in main menu (or before), and enable "allow console commands in ironman" when in game (if you want to use the console). Not playing the game anymore, so absolutely minimally tested.

2.0.2 is out. This modded achievement script seems to still work tho, at first glance, so thats wonderful news!

How did You get modded achievments to work when I try to use it it wont let me load the save does it have to be a new game?

Not sure what you mean. How does it stop you from loading the save?

It should work if you enable the script in the main menu (before you click "new game" or "load game" (possibly "continue")). Not sure it will work if you load a non-ironman save as I have not tested that.

When using the modded achievments script loaded at main menu when I try and load my ironman save I get a message :The save game can not be loaded because it was created with a diufferent set of DLC or mods, if I turn off the mod and dont use the script my ironman save loads fine

You are correct. If you start an ironman game, then later add mods and try to load it, it won't load. I am guessing probably some sort of checksum checked during load of the game to verify that no new mods have been added. Not sure my skills are up to finding that though, but I'll see if I can figure it out during the weekend.

So to play an ironman game with mods, you need to have those mods loaded when you start a new game. Sorry about that.

I had a question. Is there a way to change ruler's stats? I put the cursor on his name and nothng happens. I know you managed managed to make it work
for generals and governors. But is there a way to change other characters' stats?

2 Questions, Any word on a possible console in ironman script extension? My OCD to clean border gore on the other side of the world is massively triggered in this game.

Also has anyone had any luck with a innovations script? I don't want to endlessly increase my tech level as it just drives up the expense of everything.

Does anyone know how to hack the province investment?
Everytime there is a civil war, all of the investments in the rebelling provinces are lost which is rather annoying to redone... :cry:
May be just shorten the investment time?
