Just wanted to pop in and ask if anyone saw the article from PC Gamer in response to the Mirian hack. I found it enjoyable to read, and the ethical point they put across. I especially loved the comments that completely supported the use of cheat engine in this way . I find it amusing that only now that it potentially affects their micro transaction income that it is a "big deal".
Awesome table btw, I still intend to keep using it and hope you keep up the good work.
Edit: Ha, i just googled this and found out that many articles have been written including from IGN and venturebeat. Also, here is the URL for the PC gamer article for those interested.
How to use this cheat table?
Install Cheat Engine
Double-click the .CT file in order to open it.
Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
Keep the list.
Activate the trainer options by checking boxes or setting values from 0 to 1

That article made me lol a lil ... "Hey guys lets put microtrans into this single player game to make more money when this game already is 80$ CAD"
Kalas: "Thats gay here guys have inf silver box rolls"
Devs: "Shhhhhit-ah..."
Id laugh if this made them remove the whole premium currency thing
One hit kill works like a charm in Steam version. Fantastic option, helps you to get through that boring shadow war part in like an hour without messing with loot crates. Thanks A MILLION for this option! Just saw the real ending and tribute. My only regret is that you can't use one hit kill to dominate orcs quickly. Every time I try to dominate them with one hit kill enabled, it kills them. But it doesn't really matter. Thanks again, you're the best! You literally just saved the game to me (final act is waaaaaaaaay too boring).

Oh that's odd, I guess the "Domination" power damage them slightly. But glad you enjoy the Table

I saw the article too. PC Gamer has put out 4 or more stories this week about loot boxes and seem sort of neutral about the concept (not sure if that's just to attract views?), but I was surprised they would do a full article on the engine.
On one hand I plan to use CE to gain extra Mirian and gems to make my own experience more fun and also to "stick it to WB." I guess I'm just more worried that having CE specifically mentioned in PC Gamer/Polygon/Games Journalism articles will make it more likely that WB either works extra hard to patch out any exploits with aggressive updates or if they will take extra punitive measures on any CE game editing.
I agree with previous posts that any Mirian editing we do to our games should probably be when we have a firewall enabled (so there is no active detection of using the table or CE) to be safe. And not to give yourself an unreasonable amount for your playtime or game progress.
Do you guys think WB's response will be" (1) aggressive patching, (2) Banwaves, (3) isolation of suspicious accounts from multiplayer (like Konami did with MGS V's FOBs), or something else?
Will this be a "get in an exploit the hell out of it before it gets patched" or a "stay under the radar and be cautious and slow" ?
