I had no problems with Norsca (either of the characters), but dwarfs crash (only other race I've tried) when I try to enable any of the scripts.
The above method seemed to stop it from crashing (started as greenskins, activated table and lord sub-option, exited to main menu and started playing as dwarfs

Hi guys,

I am not able to reproduce any of the crash reports. If you have the steps I should follow to reproduce the issue I'd appreciate.

Cheers!

Do you have all the DLC?'s?

Here's how it crashed for me:
-I'm at the Main Menu (Also, I'm running in DX 12 mode btw)
-I activate the script (Or open it, whatever it is when it's only:

Code: Select all

[X] <== Warhammer Total War v1.6.0-14491 Steam Script v3.5
-Campaign -> New Campaign -> The Old World -> Dwarfs
-I select Thorgrim Grudgebearer and I have disabled introduction (Haven't checked "Enable Introduction"). Difficulty very hard
-Start Campaign
-Game loads and I'm looking at my army and city
-I enable a script and it crashes

That's how it used to go, but today that I tried it, it didn't crash? That's a good thing, I guess?

Read my post, the initial release of Norsca patch is not that stable...a hotfix beta is out today, better wait for the proper hotfix.

It's more than just the game being unstable if the game crashes when you activate a script

Heey Recifense, altough it's still over a month away. Will you be attempting to make a similar cheat table for Warhammer 2? And if so, how long do you expect it will take after release? Cause I've never had such a complete and well made table as yours and would love to have it again for the sequel.

Keep up the great work

Hi Hopit,

Thank you for describing the steps you follow to reproduce the issue.

I was not able to reproduce it (I use DX11. My VB does not support DX12). But here are some question:

- Does it crash when you enable any of the features or a specific one?
- Do you play the game full screen or in windowed mode? (I play in windowed mode)
- Is a report created for the crash?

Cheers!

Hi SiouxKaizoku,

I intend to try. But it will depend on the game itself.

Are you a candidate to provide it if needed? :)

Cheers!

-It crashed when I enabled any of the scripts (Once crashed when I enabled all at once, and afterwards it crashed when I just enabled the money script)
-I play in windowed mode
-The crash does create a crash dump file for the game (and the regular "this program is not responding" windows pop up to close it) Nothing else as far as I know

btw, I did this workaround
From what I've tested, this happens when you start the game as any of the non-vanilla heroes or factions. So far the work around I've found is this -

1. Start game
2. Choose Greenskins (note! Greenskins! Not the Crooked Moon or Bloody Hands)
3. Choose either Azhag or Grimgor, doesn't matter.
4. Activate the table and activate the Lord sub-option
5. Quit to main menu
6. Start a new campaign with a hero/faction you prefer.

Done.
And that prevented it from crashing, if that helps in any way

Hi Recifense,

The latest script results in the game crashing.
1. It crashes when I activate the script (not the options, like money or movement - just the script).
2. Borderless Windowed
3. I could not find any report file for the crash

I hope it helps.

@Hopit,

So it seems like the game freezes, right?

Here is what I noticed (with CE):

- The time you play (step 2), the game takes about 1 min 40 secs to load the campaign. It seems to freeze right at middle (loading bar half way), even the sound fails. Then it continues loading slowly;
- When you go back to main manu and try again with other character, it takes about 20 secs.

So it looks like it not the script. If you have faith it continue to load at the first time (with the script loaded).

@davidcrump01,

Is it crashing or freezing?

Cheers!

It freezes and proceeds to crash shortly after (even if I leave it there for 5 to 10 minutes without clicking anything, only option is to wait for it to close itself or forcefully close to .exe

Hi Hopit and all,

In this case, since the game is turn-base:

- Run CE;
- Run Game and start or load a campaign;
- Go back to CE, load the table and activate the main script;
- Activate each script of the features you want to use;
- Go back to the game and have fun.

Cheers!

Hotfix went live today! After months of concentrated lambasting on official forum CA finally began to get shit done in time. Well we need a new table now.
