Did you just add it and relaunch the game?

I can't get the 1 turn research to work, maybe I have to start a new game?

The solder stats cheat table seems to affect enemies as well.

the research1round+elerium works for me in the root while the specop+trainning 1 round works in my document. both works on existing save, so may just put the file in both place.

does not work on the first 2 or 3 essential researches
and no you dont have to start new game - all tweaks work on existing saves - tested

Hrm, seems you're right, it's delayed. Still can't get training to be a day, I'll have to futz around with it more.

You'll want to edit the DefaultStratagyTuning file to change training times.

What parts specifically need to be changed, as an example?

put the file in the directory mentioned
start game , load save - should be fine
if you have ongoing training -restart it

Does modding the game affect achievements?

No, you can literally make all your soldiers into gods by editing .ini files and achievements would still work, as it was with XCOM 2 and WotC.

You can edit starting stats for every character in the DefaultGameData_CharacterStats.ini inside XCOM-Chimera-Squad\XComGame\Config\

The "heroes" are in the beginning of the ini (you can edit the stats of the enemies too, apparently)
XComAndroid
XComBreaker = Axiom
XComDemoExpert = Claymore
XComEnvoy = Verge
XComGunslinger = Blueblood
XComHellion = Zephyr
XComInquisitor = Torque
XComMedic = Terminal
XComOperator = Patchwork
XComPsion = Shelter
XComRanger = Godmother
XComWarden = Cherub
Don't know if it works though, didn't test it, though it should, seems to be the same method to change rookies stats in previous games.

I have tested it already and it works, for me it works even if I edit files in My Documents.
