i never was even near dead - use the right equip combination after level up (hp stuff and/or defense)
right i currently have 3 magos completely leveled up and can end battles with full health in 2-3 turns.

next one :
the encounter you see on mission map - its 5 bars for 1 point right
you can search the bar amount ( 1point = 5bars ;2 points = 10 bars etc)
search 4 bytes

the point on this it - it doesnt affect the progress after finish the mission - the steam forums have many posts about - maybe a game bug (ppl with 1 point at the end of mission gets like 3% anyways)
i will keep an eye on it :D

edit/add: no matter what you do - always the 3% min awakening after mission - so its useless in my eyes to edit/change something ,
but its on you if you want

what do you mean by Encounter bar? isn't this in the meta.sav?

Just installed the game so haven't gotten far yet, was gonna work on CE/Save game see what else can be changed..

There's two "timers" basically.

During a mission, you have a circle broken into 5 sections that fills up as you take time on a mission. It can be lowered by smashing consoles in fights. Every 5 pips raises the alert number (it starts at 0). As it increases you get more Necrons in battle, they get better initiative, etc.

Out of a mission (while you're on your ship) you have a progress bar that shows a percentage. That's how long you have until the endgame. For every level of alert you have at the end of a mission, that bar goes up by the same percentage (so if your alert was level 4 at the end of the mission your awakening bar will raise by 4%).

Being able to keep the alert down during a mission is good because you can keep the battles easier.
Being able to edit the awakening level while on the ship would be helpful to make sure we have all the time we need.
