Red Haze: RPG Maker Horror game

Post by TheCrimsonValley »

Been trying to play through this game called Red Haze on steam but stopped after a while. Has a system where your "retrys" are extermly limited and it created rather unnecessary frustration.

I wanted a cheat that increases the Adrenaline item by will. By doing so I won't automatically unlock the game but I'll get more chances to try and get through it all.

Would really appreciate if someone could provide something for CheatEngine to achieve this. Tried to play around myself without results.

From memory, all RPG maker games use a value *2+1 system. So if you have 4 health on screen, it's:

(4*2)+1 = 5 9

When modifying the memory value, you need to take that into consideration. The value will always be an odd number. So if you want 20 retries, you'll need to set the value to 41.

 This is why you never do maths when tired :o
That should have been 9, not 5... Let me fix that.
Oh dear, that is embarrassing.

Tried this out and sadly it didn't work...
I'm kind of at my wits end as I have 5 retries left.

You could try using an unknown value search and buy / sell or gain / lose the item you're looking for whilst doing an increase / decrease search. Try it on the obvious 2 byte / 4 byte value range before moving onto floats and doubles. I'd avoid using the All range, as you could spend a long time searching, unless you can quickly drop and pickup the item you're searching for.

I don't own the game, so I can't really help much more, sorry.
